/ DESCRIPTION

Performed live at Festival Park Yenikapı in August 2025, ‘Amada’ is a luminous new composition by Sami Yusuf exploring the soul’s surrender into the Divine. Rooted in the mystical poetry of San Juan de la Cruz, the piece blends the haunting power of Andalusian tradition with the rhythmic flow of Arabic invocation. Together with his ensemble, Sami Yusuf captures a journey where the self dissolves into a boundless “ocean without shore.”
